This Singleton has a particularly creamy, malty flavour, a delicious 18-year-old Speyside malt from the Dufftown distillery. This complex, ripe and rich malt has a beautiful dark amber colour and a pleasant texture. A perfect balance between sweet apple and blackberry and spicier dry tones. Sweet, welcoming, dry and autumnal on the nose. Sweet autumn fruit forms a perfect balance with spicy dry nutty tones. Dark caramel on the tongue and sweet mint, rhubarb and apple juice. Dry, with full-bodied bitter cocoa and soft as silk. Sweetness turns to dry oak flavours. Fresh braised fruit. Smoky herbs with a touch of black pepper. In addition to its intense amber colour, Singleton 18 Year Old reveals soft, rich flavours enhanced by sweet notes of autumn fruit, which are counterbalanced by the dry, spicy taste of walnuts. Excellent on the palate, it is light to medium-bodied and settles delicately on the tongue. The finish is initially sweet, before giving way to a dry, lingering oak flavour that reveals its full flavour with ice or a little water.
