After 36 months ageing, The Belgian Owl, Belgian Single Malt
Nose: both rich and delicate, it opens with a pleasant fruity sweetness: mirabelle plum flesh, ripe pear, butter candy, then a pleasant floral touch gives it a little springtime feel ... As it opens up a little more, it reveals an almost exotic dimension of coconut cream, vanilla, banana ice cream and prickly pear.
Palate: full and fresh at the same time, confirming the promises of the nose ... The attack is delicate and the flavours unfold in an astonishing crescendo: lemon vanilla cream, apple jelly, ginger jam...
Finish: a very long finish, warmly developed with the vanilla of American oak, while preserving the delicate feel of the distillate. The ripe fruit flavours of pears, apples, bananas and greengage fade like a gourmet echo.
Balance: an astonishingly fruity, fresh and delicate whisky.
