This Sakurao Single Malt, the very first from the young distillery founded in 2017 after an initial limited edition of 54°, hints at the character of Sakurao and its future malts. This one has been distilled, aged and blended in the Hiroshima region, on the shores of the Seto Inland Sea.
This Sakurao Single Malt, the very first from the young distillery founded in 2017 after an initial limited edition of 54°, hints at the character of Sakurao and its future malts. This one was distilled, aged and blended in the Hiroshima region, on the Seto Inland Sea.
Aged for 3 years in a combination of Bourbon, new American oak and Sherry casks, it was then matured for several months in mizunara casks, the famous Japanese oak.
Nose: fruity, with grape, peach and orange aromas.
Palate: rich, with notes of vanilla and a touch of tart apple.
Finish: rich, with a hint of smoke adding to the fruity notes.
